in my beloved Lutheran faith. They filled my life with many blessings and
instilled in me a love of Lutheran doctrine, hymnody and singing. They sacrificed to provide me with lessons in piano, flute, swimming and sewing that have brought me much joy for many years. They instilled in me a love of all kinds of learning and a wonder at all the beauties of nature. Because of them I enjoy creating things with my hands. Through their own example, they nurtured in me and my siblings a profound appreciation for home and family and simple joys.
